Who stays with us

Insitu and Boeing work trips

Insitu, a Boeing company, has its headquarters in Bingen, WA, just across the river, and facilities in Hood River. Whether you're here for a site visit, flight testing, training or a longer project, you can stay downtown and get to work in about 10–15 minutes.

Google data center in The Dalles

Google's data center campus in The Dalles is about 25 minutes east on I-84. A lot of contractors and visiting staff choose to stay in Hood River and drive in, so evenings are spent in a walkable downtown with food and the Gorge outdoors close by.

Travel nurses and travel healthcare workers

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital is a few minutes from the apartments. Skyline Hospital in White Salmon is about 10–15 minutes away, and Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles is about 30 minutes. Our extended stays fit 13-week contracts, the full kitchen makes meal prep easy, and self check-in works around shift schedules. Ask about our special nurse rates.

Wind farm technicians and crews

The wind projects around Goldendale, WA and in Sherman County, OR (around Wasco), including Biglow Canyon and Klondike, are roughly an hour from Hood River. If you'd rather come back each night to a town with restaurants and services than to a small motel, a furnished apartment with laundry and a kitchen makes a longer rotation easier.

Government workers on assignment

Hood River is centrally placed for federal, state and county work in the Gorge. Both US Army Corps of Engineers dams are about 30 minutes away: The Dalles Lock & Dam to the east and Bonneville Lock & Dam to the west. The Bonneville Power Administration's Hood River substation and transmission lines are along the same stretch, and its Celilo Converter Station is in The Dalles. The Forest Service's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area headquarters and the Hood River County offices are a few minutes from the apartments. ODOT's office in The Dalles and the ODF unit there are about 25–30 minutes away. Book a few nights for a site visit, or 30+ nights for a longer project. Ask about our government rate.

Wildland firefighters and fire crews

Hood River sits between the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and the Mt. Hood National Forest, and the Oregon Department of Forestry's The Dalles Unit is about 25 minutes away. During fire season we can work with short stays or extended stays, depending on your assignment. There's free off-street parking on site and free street parking.

Monthly and extended stays (30+ nights)

Every stay is charged by the night, including monthly and 30+ night stays. We never charge monthly rent, and there's no lease. For a month or longer, just pick your dates. There's no utility setup, and you don't need to buy furniture. It's a good fit for project rotations, travel contracts, relocations and seasonal work.

Stays of 30+ nights get a lower nightly rate. Search your dates and look for the Over 30 nights rate when you book. No lodging tax on stays of 30+ consecutive nights.
